Architectural, Construction, Engineering And Inspection Services – Project Management For The Research Building On The Duisburg Campus. The Subject Of The Project Is The Planning And Implementation Of An Interdisciplinary 91B Research Building On The Duisburg Campus Of The University Of Duisburg-Essen. The New Research Building N03 Must Be Developed And Implemented In Accordance With The Special Scientific, Functional And Structural Requirements Of A 91B Research Building. The New Research Building N03 Is To Be Established As A State-Of-The-Art, Technologically Future-Oriented Center For Multidimensional Imaging, Spectroscopy And The Correlative Analysis Of Functional (Quantum) Materials. The Aim Is To Create An Integrated Research Environment In Which Complex Materials And Processes Can Be Examined And Scientifically Evaluated Across Different Space, Time And Energy Scales. The Building Bundles The Activities Of Around 15 - 20 Working Groups From Materials Science, Engineering And Physics And Enables A Continuous Process Chain From Material Synthesis To Preparative And Analytical Processes To Data-Driven Evaluation. Highly Specialized Laboratory And Measurement Environments Are Provided For This Purpose, Which Meet The Special Requirements Of Modern High-Precision Research. The New Research Building N03 Comprises A Total Of Around 4,000 M2 Of Main Usable Space And Is Designed As A Functionally Clearly Structured, Technically Efficient And At The Same Time Flexibly Adaptable Building. The Project Has A Maximum Budget Of 70 Million Euros (Including Large Equipment) And Must Be Implemented Taking Into Account High Requirements For Economic Efficiency, Sustainability And Climate Neutrality In Operations. At The Same Time, The Functionality Of The Project Must Be Ensured During The Parallel Campus Construction Work In The Period 2026 - 2036.
