Request for proposals for Supporting Artistic, Cultural, and Community Initiatives artistic, cultural, and community initiatives In light of the economic and social crises that Lebanon is experiencing and the resulting exacerbation of societal gaps, the Arab Information Center for Popular Arts/Al-Jana announces the opening of applications to support cultural, artistic and community initiatives aimed at promoting dialogue, tolerance and coexistence among different groups, and highlighting the role of culture and arts as a means to promote social cohesion. The initiatives aim to build bridges, promote social cohesion, and respect cultural diversity among different groups and communities in Lebanon. Initiatives may include: artistic and cultural performances (music, theater, films...), community art activities, interactive awareness campaigns about social issues, art exhibitions that promote cultural diversity, or initiatives that highlight local cultural heritage, and others. Application requirements and criteria Applications can be submitted by individuals or youth, womens, cultural, artistic groups, or by civil society organizations. The entity or group must be non-partisan and committed to the valuesof societal diversity and coexistence. Priority is given to initiatives that promote cooperation and coordination with institutions, municipalities, committees, or local youth and cultural groups. Priority is given to groups that include individuals from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Application deadline: June 5, 2026 The entity/group submitting the initiative undertakes to comply with the follow-up mechanisms and financial and administrative reports required by the Al-Jana Center. The initiating entity/group undertakes to abide by the policies of the Al-Jana Center, particularly with regard to accountability, transparency, and non-discrimination. The initiative is implemented and progress reports and financial reports are delivered within 3 to 6 months of signing the contract, depending on the nature of the initiative and its activities. Selection mechanism Applications will be reviewed by a three-member committee formed to facilitate the selection process . Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria : The team was diverse (gender, background, nationality). The extent to which the initiative is related to issues of social cohesion, tolerance, and coexistence . Feasibility, impact, and sustainability. Innovation and creativity . How realistic is the budget? Support and follow-up mechanism Those who take the initiative will receive : Financial support of up to a maximum of 3,600 euros , depending on the nature of the initiative and its activities. Technical and technological guidance in planning, implementing, and financially managing the initiative . Regular field visits to monitor progress. Eligible and ineligible payments First: Qualifying costs Fees of external experts, including artists, specialists and service providers directly involved in the implementation of the initiative. Materials and supplies needed to implement the initiatives activities, such as costumes, printing materials, hospitality (refreshments), art supplies, and others. Renting premises - when needed and with a clear justification. Renting the equipment necessary for implementation. Transportation costs directly related to the implementation of activities, including the transportation of the initiative team, participants, equipment, and materials. Communication and promotion costs, such as design, printing, etc. Second: Ineligible costs Purchasing assets, land, buildings, or equipment. Salaries of permanent staff (applies to civil society organizations). Costs that are not clearly related to the initiative or that are considered unjustified. Costs pre-funded by a donor or other project. Harmful substances or elements, including alcohol, tobacco, weapons, and others. General Terms All expenses must be supported by official financial documents (invoices, receipts, etc.). The ARCPA reserves the right to review, amend, or reject any budget item that does not comply with these standards. Selected initiatives must ensure appropriate display and explanation of the FANN project, including reference to the ARCPA Centre, BftW, and the European Union.
