Expression of Interest for Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Latrines in Burao TB Hospital. World Vision Hargeisa-Somaliland World Vision (WV) Somaliland, through the Global Fund Project, has maintained a steadfast commitment to Tuberculosis (TB) services in Somaliland from 2005 to the present. Acting in various capacities, including Principal Recipient (PR) and Sub-Recipient (SR) direct implementation, WV provides a holistic support package. This includes monthly staff incentives, laboratory supplies and maintenance, essential TB medications, operational running costs, and critical transportation support for Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) patients residing outside of Hargeisa. To ensure patient recovery and infection prevention are not compromised by environmental factors, the WASH sector recently conducted a technical assessment of three strategic facilities: Burao. These facilities currently serve a combined annual target of more than 2000 patients. The assessment revealed significant gaps in water systems, sanitation, and disability inclusion, alongside critical structural failures in septic systems that must be addressed to maintain the quality of care provided by World Vision.
