Rev 6 Penstock Construction . Bc Hydro Plans To Proceed With The Addition Of A Sixth Turbine And Generator Unit For The Revelstoke Generating Station To Further Increase Plant Generating Capacity (The “Revelstoke Unit 6 Project”). A Penstock Is Required To Connect The Existing Intake Structure To The Existing Embedded Lower Penstock To Provide Water To The New Turbine. The Penstock Scope Includes: • Removal Of Existing Upper And Lower Penstock Caps • Supply And Installation Of New Unit 6 Penstock • Supply And Installation Of Flexible Coupling And Associated Access Stairs And Platform • Coating, Internal And External, Of The Completed Penstock • Hydrostatic Testing Of The Completed Penstock • All Supporting Services Required To Complete The Work The Purpose Of This Rfi Is To: (A) Determine The Level Of Interest And Capacity In The Market To Perform The Scope Of Work As Described In The Rfi; (B) Draw Industry’S Attention To The Forthcoming Rfp; (C) Engage With Potential Proponents To Increase The Chance Of Receiving More Competitive Proposals Upon Issuance Of The Rfp; (D)Seek Feedback On Schedule For The Work To Assist In Rfp Planning And Development.
