The Programme for Integrated Development and Adaptation to Climate Change in the Niger Basin (PIDACC/NB) is the second phase of the Niger Basins Silling Control Program (PLCE/NB) that was drawn from the Action Plan for Sustainable Development of the NBA and its Investment Program (IP) adopted by the 9-member countries. The successful execution of PLCE/NB by the NBA in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger as beneficiaries, which was funded by the African Development Fund (ADF) from 2005 to 2011 and the multiple benefits gained by the beneficiary member countries, led the NBA to initiate the PIDACC/NB, which is being co-financed by African Development Bank (AfDB) as the lead donor, European Union (EU), Green Climate Fund (GCF) and Global Environmental Facility (GEF) and counterpart fund contribution by the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN). To consolidate the achievements recorded in the first phase (PLCE/NB), Nigeria and other member countries of the NBA are implementing PIDACC/NB in the second phase.
