Work Involved Are As Under: (A) Cutting Of Elephant Door At Boiler Drum Level In Pent House After Cutting Outer Cladding And Removal Of Insulation. (B) Cutting Of Bulged/Damaged Skin Casing Plates By Grinder/Gas Cutting Set With Utmost Precaution Ensuring No Damage To The Boiler Pressure Parts Tubes And Expansion Joints Inside The Pent House. (C) Removal Of Damaged Skin Casing After Cutting To Outside Pent House At Boiler Drum Floor. (D) Skin Casing To Be Cut In Full Segment Length, Not In Small Pieces. (E) Care Should Be Taken Of Expansion Joints, Pressure Parts Tubes Sling Holes Provided In Pent House For Sky Climber Rope, While Cutting The Damaged Skin Casing. (F) Straightening Of Damaged Skin Casing By Gas Heating Process And Pressing With Jacks/Hammers (G) Removal Of Refractory Beneath Skin Casing Above Roof Tubes For Inspection Of Peg Fins, Roof Tubes And High Crown. Any Defect Observed In Roof Tubes, High Crown Or Pendent Panels Should Be Identified And Got Inspected By The Engineer In-Charge. Repair Of Peg Fins And High Crown Should Be Carried Out By High Pressure Welding Strictly In Accordance To Ibr. (H) Providing New Refractory And Curing The Same, Allowing At Least 24 Hrs. To Set. (I) Welding Of Skin Casing And Sector Beam After Refractory Work Is Over. (J) Skin Casing Should Be Welded By High Pressure Sequence Welding Technique As Per Ibr With Supratherm (Spl) Electrode And Ensure To Be Leak Proof. (K) Closing Of Elephant Door By Welding After Completion Of Work.
