se-26-05 Pre-Project Nature Restoration And Measures In The Murudal Watershed . Descriptionthe Project Includes The Meringsdalsvatnet And The Stretch Up To Tolstaddammen With The Outlet To The Muru River. The Main Goal Is To Restore The River Course That Was Straightened In Connection With Timber Floating In The 1950S. Returning The Course Of The River Will Ensure And Improve The Water Environment In The Meringsdalsvatnet, Which After The Intervention In The River Has Had Significant Loose Masses Added, Made The Water Shallower, And Which Has Contributed To Extensive Overgrowth. The Dam At The Outlet Of Meringsdalsvatnet Has Sunk Over Time And Has Led To A Reduced Water Depth. The Project Will Investigate How Ecological Restoration Can Be Combined With Rehabilitation Of The Muru River And The Dam On Meringsdalsvatnet To Strengthen Fishing Interests, Local Recreation And Quality Of Life.
