Fire Alarm System Upgrade . This Project Involves Replacing The Existing Fire Alarm System, Related Devices, And Wiring With A New Addressable, Single-Stage Fire Alarm System. Existing Wiring Shall Be Replaced With New Wiring. A New Wire-Mold And Emt Raceway System Shall Be Installed Throughout The Facility. Emt Conduit May Be Used Inside Mechanical And Electrical Rooms And Through The Public Hallways. Wire-Mold Raceways Shall Be Used Inside Residential Suites Where Raceways Are Exposed. Removed Material Should Be Disposed Of As Redundant Construction Material At An Approved Recycling Facility. Fire Alarm Detection Devices Contain Radioactive Material And Shall Be Disposed Of In An Approved, Environmentally Friendly Process. Documentation Of Waste Management Certificates Is Required For Final Approval And Acceptance. This Contractor Will Upgrade The Auto Dialer To Meet Current Ulc Standards For Monitoring And Will Coordinate With The Owner To Select The Vendor. Notification Devices Will Be Upgraded And Added Within The Suites For Visual And Audio Alerts. This Contractor Shall Apply For Building, Electrical And Fire Permits. Three Days Have Been Allowed For The Verification. Code Requires A Fire Watch Whenever The Fire Alarm System Is Disabled. Smoke Alarms Inside The Suits Shall Be Replaced With New Units As Specified. This Work Must Be Completed With Close Attention To Safety Requirements Regarding Oh&S Requirements And Wcb. Systems Impacted By Integration Testing The Following Systems And Related Trades Are Part Of This Contract For The Integration Testing And Verification Of The Fire Alarm System As Per Can/Ulc S575 Commissioning Of Life Safety & Fire Protection Systems: A) Existing Hvac Units’ Shutdown Interface. B) Auto Dialer Integration And Connections To The Fire Alarm Panel. C) Fire Suppression System. D) Emergency Generator. E) Elevators Lift Systems Recall. F) Magnetic Doors Release.
