The Lyderhorn Tunnel Is A Two-Lane Tunnel In Bergen Municipality On National Highway 555. The Tunnel Opened In 1992. The Length Of The Tunnel Is Approx. 2200 Meters (Both Races). Ådt Is Around 40,000. The Contract Work Mainly Consists Of Two Tasks; Improvement Of The Existing Camera System And Establishment Of A New Aid System For Incident Detection In The Tunnel Using A Fiber Sensor. Existing Camera Systems With Associated Cabling Are Very Susceptible To Overvoltages And Measures Must Therefore Be Implemented To Protect Cameras And Switches. The Measures Include Equalization And Surge Protection On Energy Supply And Communication Cables. A Junction Box Must Be Established For Surge Protection, Service Outlets And Equalization At Each Camera. New Aid Facility For Incident Detection Will Use Fiber Sensor For Incident Detection Of Vehicles In Both Lanes In Each Race. Fiber Sensors Must Be Installed In Both Traffic Lanes In The Roads Bearing Layer For Incident Detection. Central Equipment For The Fiber Sensor Is To Be Located In A Technical Building On The West Side Of The Tunnel.
