The Community Of Weingarten (Baden) With Around 10,500 Inhabitants Operates The Schmalenstein Waterworks On Jöhlinger Straße. This Community-Owned Water Supply Has Been Operated In Weingarten Since 1956. The Drinking Water Is Obtained From A Catchment Area With Two Wells, Treated Using A Carix® System And Released Into The Local Network Via Several Elevated Tanks. In Order To Ensure The Future Water Supply Of The Weingarten Community And To Review And Revise The Current Supply Concept, A Requirements Plan Was Drawn Up In The Form Of A Structural Report In 2022. The Study Comes To The Conclusion That Replacing The Existing System With Reverse Osmosis (Lpro) With The Desired Capacity Is The Method Of Choice. In Addition To Reverse Osmosis, The Treatment Also Needs To Be Expanded To Include A Settling Tank And A Second Pure Water Chamber. The Total Costs For Implementing Low Pressure Reverse Osmosis (Lpro) Are Estimated At Around €5.5 Million Gross. The Planning Services For Technical Equipment And Property Planning Required To Implement The Measure Are Part Of This Award Procedure.
