Feasibility Study, Advisory Service, Analysis – Carrying Out A Study On Railway Cadence In Belgium Horizon 2050+: Implementation Process In The Short And Medium Term (203X And 2040) On Behalf Of The Fps Mobility & Transport. The Current Federal Government Wants To Investigate Whether It Is Appropriate To Effectively Switch To A Cadenced Timetable, Inspired In Particular By The Swiss Model, Based On The Study Of The Integrated Timetable Carried Out Within The Fps Mobility. The Aim Of The Proposed Reforms Should Be Measured “In Terms Of Punctuality, Reliability […] Of Passenger Numbers, Intermodality And The Efficient Use Of Resources”. The Successive Short- And Medium-Term Steps Of This Plan Should Be Analyzed In Detail And Also Take Into Account The Context In Which They Will Take Place, In Particular The European Obligations Under The Rail Capacity Initiative And The Liberalization Of The Domestic Passenger Market In 2032. The Study Is Not Intended To Define A Model For The Implementation Of Public Service Obligations For The Period After 2032, But Should Be Able To Take Into Account Developments In This Area As Much As Possible. To Carry Out This Study, The Fps Mobility And Transport Wants To Benefit From Solid Technical Support, Thanks To A Specific Team Of Experts, Whose European Railway Experience And Knowledge Will Be Included In The Discussions At Belgian Level.
