Tenders are invited for PIS Consultant and Supervision Engineer The Consultant will be expected to support the client during preparation, procurement, implementation of the project and act as FIDIC Engineer. 3. Other Information The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the EBRD or the Bank) is considering a sovereign loan loan in the amount of up to USD 60 million (EUR 52 million equivalent) to finance the construction of a 500/220/110/10kV substation in Kosonsoy district of Namangan region (the Project). The loan proceeds will be on-lent to JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan (NEGU or the Company), a wholly state-owned company incorporated in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the national power transmission utility. The project aims to improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply in the region, ensure efficient power transmission and maintain the stability of the national power system, taking into account growing demand from both industrial and residential consumers. The Project builds on the Banks ongoing support to develop a more diversified and sustainable energy sector in Uzbekistan. In particular, it will strengthen the national grid and facilitate the integration of increasing renewable energy generation capacity, contributing to the Low Carbon Pathway for the energy sector developed with EBRD support. The total Project cost is estimated at USD 72.2 million. The financing structure is expected to include an EBRD sovereign loan of up to USD 60 million, with the remaining funding provided by the Republic of Uzbekistan and NEGUs own resources.
