The Saarner Straße Road Bridge Is Located Southwest Of Mülheim City Center. The Structure Has A Total Length Of Approx. 20.00 M And Is Used To Transfer Saarner Straße Over The Deutsche Bahn Ag Tracks (See Appendices 1 To 3). Significant Damage To The Mastic Asphalt Surface Was Found In The Area Of The Road Surface. The Pavement Has Extensive Crack Formations, Particularly Network-Like Cracks, As Well As Individual, Pronounced Longitudinal And Transverse Cracks In The Area Of The Main Traffic Lanes. In Some Cases There Are Chipping And Flaking Down To The Sealing Level. Similar Damage Patterns Can Also Be Seen In The Sidewalk Areas. The Curbs Are Partially Damaged. There Are Breaks On Edges And Cracks In The Curb Cross-Section. The Existing Mastic Asphalt Covering In The Roadway And Sidewalk Area Is Completely Removed And Disposed Of Professionally. The Concrete Surface Of The Superstructure Is Then Tested And Repaired. The Concrete Surface Is Prepared And Provided With A New Seal In Accordance With The Applicable Technical Regulations. A New Mastic Asphalt Covering Is Then Installed. All Curbs Will Be Completely Removed And Replaced With New Curbs With Anchorage. In Addition, New End Plates Will Be Installed On The Two Abutments. In Front Of Both Abutments, A Strip Of The Adjacent Traffic Area Is Taken Up To A Depth Of Approx. 80 Cm. The Reconstruction Is Carried Out In Layers Using Classic Construction Methods In Accordance With The Applicable Guidelines (Substructure, Frost Protection Layer, Base Layer, Top Layer). In The Area Between The Wing Walls, The Existing Asphalt Surface Is Milled Away And Replaced With A New Surface Layer Made Of Chipped Mastic Asphalt (Sma). The Sidewalk Can Bear A Maximum Load Of 300 Kg Per M². It Must Always Be Ensured That The Overhead Lines, The Track Bed, Trains, Etc. Are Protected From Falling Objects, Materials, Etc. Necessary Protective Measures Must Be Included In Item 1.9.
