Veterinary Services – Program For Collection And Management And / Or Cremation Of All Kinds Of Dead Animals And Confiscated Food And Taking Brain Tissue Samples From Dead Cattle And Sheep In The Region Of Central Greece 2026-2028. The Object Of The Program And The Contract Is: A) The Collection, Management, Disposal And/Or Incineration Of Dead Animals, I.E.: Collection, Management, Disposal And/Or Incineration Of Dead Animals, I.E.: The Carcasses Of Cattle, Goats And Sheep, Found Dead Inside Or Outside Livestock Holdings, From Which Additional Samples Are Taken Of Brain Tissue, In Accordance With The Provisions Of The Surveillance Programs For The Control And Elimination Of Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (Tse) For Cattle And Sheep And Goats Respectively, In Force Each Year, In Application Of National And Community Legislation. Brain Tissue Sampling Is Carried Out In Cattle Aged Over 24 Or 48 Months (Depending On Their Country Of Original Origin) And In Goats And Sheep Aged Over 18 Months Of The Carcasses Of Dead Cattle, And Sheep And Goats That Are Not Included In The Animals Of The Previous Paragraph, Found Dead Inside Or Outside Livestock Holdings B) H Collection, Management, Disposal And/Or Incineration (Where This Is Required By The Applicable National And Community Legislation) Of Other Dead Animals I.E.: Carcasses Of All Ages Of Pigs And Equines, Found Dead Inside Or Outside Livestock Holdings, Carcasses Of All Species And All Ages Of Animals Found Dead Within The Administrative Boundaries Of The Mainland Region Along The National Road Network Or On Public Or Municipal Lands. Not Accepted: Pigs That Belong To Pig Farms With A Capacity Of More Than One Hundred (100) Sows, Domesticated Dead Animals Or Dead Animals That Were Accommodated Or Resided In Municipal Or Private Animal Shelters, In Zoos Or In General In Any Kind Of Habitat Or Houses (Including The Courtyards Of These Areas) And In General In Privately Owned Areas. C) The Collection, Management, Disposal Or Incineration Of Seized Products, I.E.: Quantities Of Food Of Animal Origin Or Animal By-Products, Which Have Been Confiscated By The Competent Regional Authorities And The Producer, Owner Or Possessor Has Not Been Found And Their Further Management, In Accordance With The Applicable National And Community Legislation, Must Be Done By The Veterinary Authorities. It Is A Necessary Condition That These Materials Are Characterized By The Competent Veterinary Services As Food Or Products Unsuitable For Human Consumption And Their Further Preservation Poses Risks To The Environment And Public Health.
