The Protecting Biodiversity By Promoting Sustainable And Deforestation-Free Supply Chains In Colombia (Biocadenas) Project Aims To Strengthen Biodiversity Conservation In The Regions Of The Colombian Orinoquia And The Amazon That Are Particularly Affected By Deforestation And Conflict. The Focus Is On Selected Eco-Corridors Outside Protected Areas In The Departments Of Meta, Caquetá And Guaviare, In Which Sustainable Agricultural And Forestry Value Chains Are Promoted And Interconnected. Against The Background Of High Deforestation Rates, Limited Economic Prospects And A Still Fragile Security Situation, Biocadenas Supports Local Actors - Especially Women And Conflict-Affected And Vulnerable Population Groups - In Developing Sustainable Business Models That Preserve Biodiversity And Secure Income. The Project Builds On Existing Agricultural And Forest Management Plans And Promotes The Diversification Of Production Systems In Landscapes Characterized By Extensive Cattle Farming. The Advertised Service Covers Central Aspects Of Two Fields Of Action Of The Project: Within The Framework Of Field Of Action 3 - The Support Of Local Producer Groups In The Development And Submission Of Financing Applications For Investments In Biodiversity Conservation And Restoration, And Within The Framework Of Field Of Action 4 - The Exchange Of Knowledge And Experience For The Restoration Of Eco-Corridors. As Part Of The Third Field Of Action, The Contractor Supports Groups Of Producers In Identifying Suitable Public And Private Financing Instruments, Developing Investment And Business Plans As Well As Applying For And Administratively Processing Funding. The Aim Is To Significantly Increase Access To Financing And Mobilize Investments In Biodiversity-Preserving Value Chains. The Fourth Field Of Action Strengthens The Intersectoral Exchange Of Knowledge Between Local And National Actors From Administration, Science, Civil Society And The Private Sector, With A Particular Focus On Women. Successful Approaches To Restoring Ecosystems Are Identified, Documented And Disseminated Through Knowledge Networks, Workshops, Peer-To-Peer Learning Formats And Pilot Measures. The Systematic Transfer Of Knowledge Improves The Impact Of Restoration Measures, Increases The Visibility Of Local Initiatives And Promotes Their Long-Term Anchoring, Including Through Collaboration With Regional Universities. Overall, The Tendered Service Contributes To Strengthening Biodiversity-Preserving Value Chains In Colombias Eco-Corridors, Mobilizing Financial Resources For Biodiversity Protection And Sustainably Improving The Technical, Organizational And Financial Scope For Action Of Local Actors.
