Tenders are invited for Consultancy Services for the Review of Planning Policy Guidance 9-Development on Sloping Sites and Landslide Hazard Areas The Ministry of Housing and Lands issued Planning Policy Guidance 9 (PPG 9) Development on Sloping Sites and Landslide Hazard Areas on 28 March 2016 to control development in areas with challenging topography in Mauritius. Given evolving environmental challenges, urbanization pressures and advancements in geotechnical and landscape design practices, there is an urgent need to review the existing PPG to ensure its alignment with current best practices in hazard mitigation and land use planning, climate resilience and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Ministry of Housing and Lands seeks to engage the services of a qualified consultancy firm to review the existing PPG, undertake a comprehensive stakeholder consultation and technical analysis, and propose a revised PPG with updated planning and engineering recommendations.
