The Turku City Library Requests Information On Solutions That Can Improve The Processing Of New Material. The Turku City Library Has At Its Disposal Auxiliary Software That Works In Connection With The Koha Library System For Processing New Material. The Software Enables:- Creating Product And Order Data In The Library System Based On Order Confirmations - Updating Information Related To Arrival Control Based On Electronic Referrals- Checking The Availability Of Metadata From External Sources We Are Planning To Expand The Auxiliary Software Package To Cover The Following Functions:- The Possibility To Implement Rfid Mass Processing Of Incoming News Broadcasts- The Possibility To Connect To The Software Printers That Produce Activated Rfid Tags, Including The Information Of Each Volume Both On The Chip And As Text Print In Tag - Sticker Printing Software That Enables Not Only The Processing Of New Material But Also The Re-Tagging Of An Existing Collection. All Functionalities Must Work In Cooperation With The Koha Library System. The Acquired System Must Be Interoperable With The Current Software Or Replace Its Functionalities. The Agreement Includes Software Maintenance And Cooperation In Possible Equipment Purchases Under Agreed Terms. The System Must Be Able To Be Developed In The Future, For Example For The Needs Of The Librarys Collection Management, In A Manner To Be Determined Later. We Ask The Suppliers For Views On How The System Could Be Built, At What Schedule And Price It Would Be Possible To Obtain The System, And What Should Be Taken Into Account In The Request For Quotation And The Contract.
