The Ministry Of Forests (The “Ministry”) Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified And Experienced Contractors To Provide Full-Service Design And Construction Services For The Replacement Of The Existing Onsite Septic System At The Pemberton Fire Zone Facility Located At 2000 Airport Road, Pemberton, British Columbia.The Facility Is On Crown Land Near The Confluence Of The Green River And Lillooet River, Adjacent To The Pemberton Airport And The Pemberton Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Site Is Approximately 4 Hectares, Generally Flat And Grassy/Forested, And Supports Permanent Staff, Headquarters Staff, And Seasonal Wildfire Crews In A One-Storey Building With Office Space, Meeting Rooms, Kitchen And Dining Facilities, Locker Rooms, Washrooms, And A Two-Bay Garage And Warehouse.The Successful Proponent Will Be Responsible For Site Investigation, Detailed Design, Regulatory Approvals, Procurement, Demolition And Disposal Of Existing Components (Where Required), Construction, Prime Contractor Obligations, Project Management, Commissioning, And Certification Of A New Septic System Compliant With All Applicable Provincial And Local Regulatory Requirements. Certain Existing Concrete Tanks May Be Suitable For Reuse, Subject To Confirmation By The Proponent’S Designer And Acceptance By The Applicable Regulatory Authorities.The Ministry Intends This Procurement To Result In A Durable, Flood-Resilient Septic System That Meets Current Regulatory Requirements And Is Appropriate For The Sites Projected Sanitary Flows And Environmental Conditions.
