Tenders are invited for Coach for Income Generation Activity at Household Level - Livestock. Mada Association is seeking one coach for Income Generation Activities at Household Level in the field of Dairy Production under the SAFE Project Sustainable Agri-Food Economy for Refugee and Local Communities in Lebanon, funded by the Danish MoFA under the European Regional Development and Protection Program (RDPP III) implemented in partnership with WeWorld and LWRO. A key component of the activity is to improve the capacities of 100 vulnerable households in North and Akkar Governorates, enabling activation of Income Generating Activities (IGAs) across various sectors, including livestock management, agriculture, food processing and dairy production. This activity targets vulnerable households with support to IGA aiming at overcoming immediate shocks during the quest for more sustainable solutions including long-term employment. A holistic package of support will be provided, including in-kind grants and tailored coaching, to help these households develop viable IGAs, increase income that can foster self-reliance and resilience. Through close collaboration with each households focal point, the Coach will design and deliver personalized one-on-one coaching sessions that respond to the specific needs, challenges, and market context of each beneficiary while building on their existing capacities and experience. Each household will receive three (3) coaching sessions. Job Summary The Livestock Coach will be responsible for providing specialized technical and business development support to beneficiaries engaged in livestock-based IGAs. The main goal is to strengthen beneficiaries technical knowledge, improve production efficiency and animal health, and enhance business performance and market competitiveness. The Coach will work closely with household focal points to develop sector-specific business plans, strengthen their skills in financial management, marketing, pricing and provide practical, hands-on guidance on livestock rearing and management practices. Sessions will be tailored to each households situation to ensure that their activities are viable, profitable, and aligned with market opportunities. The program will include 27 one-on-one sessions for 9 households, each lasting approximately 2 to 3 hours, conducted in the households locations across Akkar, Tripoli, and Miniyeh-Danniyeh. The coach is responsible for implementing 3 sessions per household located at: Akkar (Mohamara, Bebnine, Ain Dahab, Berqayel, Borj Arab, El Hissa, Fneideq, Jeidet Qaytaa, and Tal Hayat) and Minnieh-Dannieh (Sfire, Btermaz and Bahnine). Mada reserves the right to adjust the number of sessions and assigned households as needed. Tasks and responsibilities The Livestock Coach will: Conduct a comprehensive review of the household validation assessment data, including analysis of available equipment, access to resources, and household production and technical capacities. Based on the findings, develop a tailored coaching program plan that addresses identified needs, builds on existing capacities, and aligns with project objectives. Coach beneficiaries on the following topics included but not limited to: Breeding and reproduction management to improve genetic quality, productivity, and adaptability. Nutritional and feeding strategies that enhance animal growth, milk or meat yield, and cost efficiency. Animal health management practices, including vaccination programs, disease prevention, and early diagnosis to reduce losses. Housing and waste management practices that improve productivity and animal welfare. Provide technical and business guidance on product diversification (meat, milk, manure use) and value addition to increase profitability. Recordkeeping, cost analysis, and pricing, ensuring effective decision-making and profitability tracking. Topics may be adapted as needed, depending on the households business and the type of IGA. Conduct 3 one-on-one coaching sessions per each household, covering both technical and business aspects. Support both the household and the project team in identifying the appropriate tools and equipment required to enhance household capacities. Provide detailed technical specifications for each item to be procured through the in-kind grant allocated by the project, ensuring alignment with household needs, project objectives, and procurement standards. Monitor the progress of beneficiaries, providing actionable feedback and identifying opportunities for scaling or diversification. Deliverables IGA proposed coaching program A summary of each households IGA, outlining resources, technical and business gaps, and proposed coaching sessions. Individual Spending Plans Tailored plans per household integrating both items quantities and detailed technical specifications. Attendance Sheets Documented participation for all coaching sessions. Final Recommendations Report overview of sessions, progress, summary of successful practices and suggestions for scaling up IGAs and future support needs. Qualifications Specialization or degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Studies, Livestock Management, Agribusiness, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in livestock production, animal health, or business development coaching, preferably in rural or vulnerable contexts. Proven experience in supporting small-scale livestock farmers or businesses, with knowledge of breeding, nutrition, animal welfare, and farm management. Strong understanding of local market dynamics in Akkar, Tripoli, and Mennieh-Dannieh. Demonstrated ability to provide practical, actionable advice tailored to diverse IGAs. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills for working with diverse and vulnerable communities. Previous experience working with NGOs or development projects is an asset. Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to prepare clear, professional reports in English. Time Frame and Duration The selected Coach is expected to deliver the required sessions from 8 April 2026 (estimated) and for a period of 6 consecutive weeks. Sessions will be conducted during regular working days (five days per week), with two sessions often scheduled on the same day. How to apply Applications are welcomed by only single coaches.
