Alberta Agriculture And Irrigation Dam Safety . Alberta Agriculture And Irrigation (Agi, The “Province”) Intends To Contract Dam Safety Engineering Services (“Services”) To Engineering Consultants, For Periodic Dam Safety Assessments And Evaluations (“Projects”) To Meet The Dam And Canal Safety Regulatory Requirements And Best Applicable Industry Practices, Based On The Consequence Classification Of The Structures. Agi Is The Largest Dam Owner In The Province, With An Inventory Of Over $12 Billion In Dams And Related Infrastructure. The Projects Are Required To Ensure The Safety Of The Dams And Their Associated Structures By Identifying Potential Dam Safety Deficiencies, Operational Issues, And Non-Compliances And Prioritizing Those To Manage And Mitigate The Potential Risks. The Projects May Require Dam Safety Reviews (Dsr), Dam Safety Risk Assessment (Ra) Using Pfmea, Dam Breach Inundation Studies (Dbis), Annual Performance Reviews (Apr), Probable Maximum Flood (Pmf) Updates, Or Deformations Surveys.
