Tenders are invited for Assistance Scheme to Facilitate SMEs to Obtain Standards/Certifications Required Internationally. The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) proposes to implement a Financial Assistance Scheme to support SME exporters and export-oriented SME companies registered under the EDB New Exporter Development Programme in obtaining standards/certifications required to access international markets. The Scheme Under the assistance scheme, the EDB will reimburse eligible beneficiaries for the cost of certification and consultancy fees incurred in obtaining standards/certifications, up to a maximum of Rs. 0.3 million per company. Reimbursement will be made upon submission of the relevant supporting documents, including a copy of the certificate. Qualifying Activity Obtain standards/certifications required to meet the requirements of international markets. Please refer to the Scheme Guidelines for further details. For Whom Product sectors eligible for the assistance are Processed Food and Beverages, Spices and Concentrates, Fisheries, Electrical and Electronic Components, Ayurveda Sector (Indigenous Medicinal Products), Personal Protective Equipment, Life Style Products, Chemical Based Products, ICT/BPM Sector, etc. Application and Selection Applicants who wish to apply for the scheme are requested to submit the duly completed application form to reach the Director - Regional Development Division on or before 7th April 2026. Application forms can be obtained from the Regional Development Division of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), as well as from its Provincial Offices located in Kandy, Kurunegala, Matara, and Jaffna. The application form may also be downloaded from the EDB website (www.srilankabusiness.com) under the "Announcements" section.
