The Main Goal Of This Contract Is To Provide Road Maintenance Services For Rural Residences On The Beaver Fsr.This Road Maintenance Contract Will Require The Contractor To Conduct Grading Services On The Beaver Fsr, Which Includes Pulling The Road Shoulders, Surface Grading And Crowning The Road Profile, And Packing Of The Road Surface. Grading Will Occur Between Summer And Fall, Under Ideal Moisture Conditions, And Must Be Done To Ministry Standards (Forest Road Engineering Guidebook). No Grading Is Generally Done During The Spring.During The Winter, The Contractor Will Be Required To Respond To Snowfall Events As Per The Response Times/Snow Levels Defined In Schedule C Of The Contract. Winging Back Of Snowbanks Will Also Be Required Throughout The Winter Season. Other Miscellaneous Duties May Involve Ice-Blading, Sanding, Culvert Maintenance, Minor Road Repairs, Sign Installation, And Right-Of-Way Maintenance (Such As Hazard Tree Removal) Throughout The Term Of The Contract.The Contractor Will Be Primarily Responsible For Monitoring The Weather And Road Conditions To Provide The Appropriate Maintenance Responses. This Includes Field Inspections By The Contractor. Other Sources Of Information Relay Will Be Occasionally Directed By The Ministry Representative.
