The Mechanical Excess Sludge Thickening At The Holtwick Sewage Treatment Plant Is Housed In A Machine Hall And Essentially Consists Of A Klein Drum Thickener And A Double-Decker System For Polymer Dosing. Due To Its Age-Related Condition, The System Is In Need Of Renovation, Which Is Why It Is Planned To Replace The Existing Drum Thickener With A Disc Thickener. The Thin Sludge Feed And The Thick Sludge Outlet Will Also Be Renewed And Adapted To The New Design Data For Sludge Thickening. The Existing Double-Decker System For Polymer Dosing Will Be Replaced By A Compact System For Direct Dosing, Which Works With Lower Feed Volumes, Which Will Make The Thickening Operation More Flexible And Reduce The Disposal Of Excess Use Solution. In Addition To The Mechanical Components, The Emsr Technical Installations Within The Sludge Thickening Area Will Also Be Renewed.
