Executive Services – Updates Of The Hydrogeological Maps Of The Awel/Department. Water Protection/Groundwater And Water Supply Section. In The Canton Of Zurich, The Ground And Spring Versions, The Water Protection Map, The Groundwater Map (Mean And Flood Levels) And The Heat Utilization Atlas Are Maintained As Digital Map Products And Made Available To Both The Authorities And The General Public In The Gis Browser, The Cantonal Geodata Platform. The Awel Groundwater And Water Supply Section (Gwv) Is Responsible For Creating And Updating These Maps. New Findings From Exploratory Drilling, Subsoil Investigations Or Geothermal Probe Drilling Mean That These Maps Have To Be Updated Regularly. When Updating One Card, The Others Must Also Be Checked And Adjusted In Order To Avoid Any Inconsistencies. So That The Necessary Adjustments To The Maps Can Be Completed Efficiently And Within A Reasonable Time Frame, A Framework Agreement With Various Geological Offices Is Being Sought. This Means That Orders Can Be Placed Quickly And The Maps Can Be Updated Better. In Addition, The Minimum Geodata Models Must Be Adapted To Federal Requirements Over The Next 4 Years.
