Environmental Impact Assessment (Eia) Services For Construction – D953 - Nordhub - Environmental Construction Support (Ubb) During Preparatory Construction Measures And Construction Work. As A Transmission System Operator In Germany, Tennet Germany Operates Critical Infrastructures That Ensure Access To A Reliable, Sustainable And Affordable Electricity Supply. Tennet Germany Is One Of The Largest Investors In Electricity Grids In Germany And Operates Germanys Largest Transmission Network, Stretching Over 14,000 Km And Connecting More Than A Third Of The Eus Total Offshore Wind Capacity. Tennet Is Planning To Build One Of The First Electricity Hubs (Also Called Multi-Terminal Hub) In Germany In The Communities Of Agethorst And Mehlbek: The Nordhub. The Project Was Confirmed In The Network Development Plan 2037/2045 And Is Part Of The Overall Nordostlink Measure. The Entire Project, Including The Nordhub, Has Been Included In The Federal Needs Plan Since 2022 And Was Expanded With An Amendment To The Law In 2024. This Means That Tennet Has The Legal Mandate For Planning And Structural Implementation. In The Future, Offshore And Onshore As Well As Direct And Alternating Current Lines Will Be Linked Together In The Nordhub. Tennet Will Thus Feed More Electricity From Offshore Wind Farms Into The Power Grid And Transport It To The High-Consumption South - Up To 4 Gigawatts From 2034. This Makes The Nordhub An Important Electricity Hub Across Europe. When Completed, The System Will Consist Of A Direct Current Switchgear, A Converter And A Substation. The Systems Will Be Built On Two Plots Of Land Approximately Three Kilometers Apart, Which Will Be Connected By A Newly Constructed Overhead Line. The Direct Current Switchgear And The Converter Will Be Built On One Area In Agethorst And The Substation On The Second Area In Mehlbek. Current Information On Multiterminal Hubs And The Nordhub Can Be Found Under The Links Multiterminal Hubs And Tennet Nordhub. The Subject Of This Tender Is The Environmental Support (Ubb) During The Pre-Construction Measures (Bvm) And Construction. The Main Tasks Are To Identify Environmentally Sensitive Areas And Recommend Suitable Structural Measures As Well As To Supervise Construction With Regard To Ecological And Soil Science Concerns. The Ubb Includes In Particular The General Monitoring And Documentation Of Construction Activities, Particularly On The Environmental Issues Of Pollution Control, Nature Conservation, Soil Protection, Waste And Water Protection. The Nordhub Will Be Built In Three Construction Phases. Tennet Plans To Commission Ubb Gradually According To Construction Phases. As A Company Qualified And Experienced In Providing Comparable Services, The Contractor Must Provide All Services That Are Identified As Necessary For The Subject Matter Of The Contract Described In More Detail In The Documents.
