The City Of Maple Ridge (The “City”) Requests Proposals From Experienced And Qualified Firms To Provide Consulting Services For The Development Of A Parkland Acquisition Strategy.The Assignment Will Involve, But Is Not Limited To, Research, Gis Analysis, Technical Report Writing And Financial Planning To Develop A 25-Year Plan For The Growth Of The City Of Maple Ridge’S Municipal Parks System. Deliverables Include Developing A Method To Assess Which Areas Are Suitable For Future Parks And Employing This Method To Identifying Target Properties For Acquisition. These Properties Will Be Valued, Categorized, And Prioritized Into A Schedule Broken Down By Year Of Targeted Acquisition. Consultant Will Be Required To Detail A Sustainable Funding Strategy To Achieve These Acquisitions, With Recommendations That Include Both Traditional And Innovative Approaches.The Consultant Should Be Familiar With The Legal Tools Available To Municipalities In British Columbia And Only Make Suggestions That Are Possible With Those Limitations.
