Rvo (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) Intends To Issue An Invitation To Tender For The Acquisition And Analysis Of Atmospheric Stability Profile Data At Two Offshore Locations In The North Sea. The Aim Of This Study Is To Gain Insight Into The Stability Of The Atmospheric Boundary Layer (Abl) By Means Of Vertical Measurements Of Temperature And Humidity. Abl Behavior Has Been Identified As A Critical Parameter In Determining Wake Characteristics Of Turbines And Wind Farms, Which Influences The Annual Energy Yield And In Turn The Business Case Of Wind Farms. The Assignment Consists Of Two Measurements At Each Location, For Two Locations In Total. At Each Location, A Buoy Mounted Measurement System Will Be Placed Close To A Platform Mounted System For Validation Purposes. The Locations Are Chosen In Consultation With Rvo, And Tno Will Help Facilitate Access To The Respective Platforms.
