Information Systems And Servers – Modernization Of The Backup Infrastructure. Subproject 1: Backup Storage (Hardware) Provision Of A Highly Available, High-Performance, Scalable, And Energy-Efficient Storage Infrastructure For Redundant, Efficient, And Long-Term Data Storage And Backup Of All Relevant Bedag Workloads. The Platform Must Integrate Seamlessly With The Selected Backup Software From Subproject 2 And Support Features Such As Deduplication, Compression, Encryption, Immutability/Worm, Last-Line-Of-Defense Protection, As Well As Efficient Data Transfer To Secondary And Optional Air-Gapped Locations. The Solution Should Be Designed As An Economically Viable Scale-Out System And Meet The Requirements For Energy Efficiency, Operating Costs, And Capacity Expansion Over The Planned Lifecycle. Custom-Built Backup Storage Solutions Based On Generic Standard Hardware Without Clear Manufacturer Responsibility For The Overall System Are Not Preferred, But May Be Considered Favorably If The Overall Concept Is Convincing. Subproject 2: Backup Software And Associated Infrastructure Implementation Of A High-Performance, Scalable, And User-Friendly Central Software Platform For Backing Up And Restoring All Relevant Bedag Systems And Applications, Including Native Integration With The Backup Storage To Be Procured From Subproject 1. In Addition To The Backup Software, The Solution Includes All Necessary Infrastructure Components (E.G., Backup Servers, Proxies, Gateways, And Other Logical Components), Which Will Be Dimensioned, Delivered, And Designed By The Vendor To Support Operation In The Three Environments And Two Data Centers Using The Same Operating Model. The Software Must Be Able To Back Up And Restore Heterogeneous Environments (Including Virtual And Physical Systems, Databases, File Services, Kubernetes Clusters, And S3 Workloads), Meet Defined Rpo/Rto Targets, Integrate With Existing Operations, Security, Monitoring, And Itsm Processes, And Support Modern Features Such As Policy-Based Backup, Role-Based Access Control, Multi-Tenancy, Api Integration, And Optionally, Anomaly Detection. The Backup Software May Consist Of Several Logically Grouped Software Components From The Same Vendor. Subproject 3:Airgap Solution (Optional) Optional Implementation Of A Physically Or Logically Completely Isolated Backup Layer To Protect Against Ransomware, Manipulation, And Unauthorized Access. The Solution Should Enable High-Performance Transfer Of Deduplicated Data From The Primary Backup Environment To A Third, Physically Separate Airgap Location And Provide Sufficient Capacity For Multiple Generations In The Petabyte Range. It Must Support Defined Restore Scenarios And Be Integrable Into The Operational Target Architecture (Including Rpo/Rto Requirements, Operational Processes, And Responsibilities). Implementation Can Be Carried Out Using Backup Software Or Backup Storage And Is The Responsibility Of The Provider. This Sub-Project Will Be Tendered As An Option; Bedag Will Decide On Its Implementation Based On The Tender
