Objectives:Proponents Are Invited To Submit Proposals For The Opportunity To Compete For The Provision Of Temporary Professional Auditors In Accordance With The Specifications And Terms And Conditions Set Out In This Pqr-Sa And Successful Proponents Will Be Included As Part Of Our Existing Firms And Vendors. Please Note That Existing Individuals, Firms And Talent/Recruiting Firms Do Not Need To Submit Any Proposal.The Auditor General Is A Non-Partisan Officer Of The Alberta Legislature Charged With A Broad Statutory Mandate. The Auditor General Act (The “Ag Act”) Imposes A Financial Statement And Performance Audit Mandate Which Covers Department, Ministries, Provincial Agencies, Regulated Fund, And Other Entities. Commensurate With This Mandate, The Auditor General Is Subject To Many Unique Powers And Rules Established In The Ag Act, Most Notably Calling Attention To Any Matter Which Should Be Known By The Assembly. Within This Context, Individual Professionals Are Sought Who, Among Other Things: -Understand The Nature And Scope Of The Auditor General’S Audit Work Respecting Financial Statements And/Or Performance Audits Of Its Auditees, -Are Capable Of Identifying For Consideration Other Matters Which Should Be Reported To The Assembly (S.19 Of The Auditor General Act), And-Understand The Gravity Of Confidentiality Under Which The Auditor General Operates.
