Architectural, Construction, Engineering And Inspection Services – General Planning Services For The Replacement Of The Theodor Heuss Bridge In Düsseldorf. Immobilien Projektmanagement Düsseldorf Gmbh Is A 100% Subsidiary Of The State Capital Düsseldorf (Lhd). Ipm Carries Out Various Construction Contracts On Behalf Of Lhd. She Intends To Have The Replacement Building For The Theodor Heuss Bridge Built On Behalf Of The Lhd. The Theodor Heuss Bridge Is Located North Of The City Center And Connects The Two Districts Of Golzheim And Heerdt. It Is An Essential Part Of The B7 Federal Highway, Which Is Partly Designated As A Motorway. The Theodor Heuss Bridge Is One Of The Most Heavily Used Routes Within The Citys Road Network. The Bridge Is Crossed By Around 78,600 Motor Vehicles Every Day, Including Around 3,000 Trucks. The Theodor Heuss Bridge Is A Bridge That Consists Of Five Sub-Structures. Starting From The Left Bank Of The Rhine, These Include The Dike Bridge, The Flood Bridge, The River Bridge, The Millipede And The Ramp. The Total Length Across All Sub-Structures Is 1,522.13 M. Each Sub-Structure Is Unique And Has Special Static-Structural Features. What They All Have In Common Is The Dematerialized Construction Method That Emerged In The 1950S, Which Involves The Economical Use Of Building Materials And Thus Gives The Theodor Heuss Bridge An Elegant, Light Appearance. The Current Power Bridge Is Germanys First Cable-Stayed Bridge. The Special Design Features - Harp-Shaped Arrangement Of The Support Cables, Orthotropic Deck Slab And Free-Standing Pylon Posts - Were Unique In The World At The Time And Made Them The Model For All Subsequent Cable-Stayed Bridges, Especially In Germany. The Almost 70-Year-Old Bridge Now Shows Numerous Damages And Is Not Designed For Current Traffic. On July 10, 2025, The Council Of The State Capital Düsseldorf Decided On A Replacement Building. The Study On The Feasibility Of A Light Rail Connection Over The Theodor Heuss Bridge As Part Of The Possible Northern Tangent Examined The Three Best Possible Route Variants In Agreement With The Office For Traffic Management In Terms Of Technical And Economic Feasibility. Following The Results Of The Study, The Planning Of The New Thb Replacement Building Should Be Continued While Maintaining The Current Number Of Lanes (2 Lanes In Each Direction + Cycle And Pedestrian Path). Additional Areas For A Light Rail Route Will Not Be Taken Into Account. The Client Intends To Commission All Services Required For Planning The Bridge - In Particular Object Planning, Structural Planning, Traffic Planning And Tga Planning - And To Initially Request The Service Phases According To Hoai (Lph) 1 - 2 From A General Planner (Gp) Upon Conclusion Of The Contract.
