Exeter City Council Seeks An Experienced Contractor To Deliver A Single-Package Programme Of Structural, Maintenance And Refurbishment Works On Yaroslavl Bridge, A Pedestrian Cable-Stayed Bridge Spanning Western Way, Exeter. The Structure Carries Pedestrians Over Western Way, A Two-Way, Five-Lane, 30Mph Carriageway At This Location, And Is A Main Traffic Route Into And Around Exeter City Centre, With Footpaths Provided On Both Sides Of The Road Under Yaroslavl Footbridge. The Works Include Full Replacement Of The Main Timber Deck, Steel Corrosion Repairs, Drainage Reinstatement, Structural Painting, And Installation Of A New Lit Handrail System. A Full Specification Of Works Has Been Produced By Ecc’S Principal Designer. The Appointed Contractor Will Be Responsible For Proposing A Cost-Effective Delivery Method, Managing All Work At Height, Highway Access, Traffic Management And Relevant Consents, And Coordinating With Ecc And The Principal Designer To Deliver The Scheme In Line With Dcc Highway Conditions And Relevant Legislation.
