Large Parts Of The City Of Bad Münstereifel Were Severely Affected By The Heavy Rain And Flood Events In July 2021. A Large Part Of The Urban Area With Its Narrow Valleys Was Severely Affected By Floods, Very Dynamic Runoff, Landslides And The Loss And Discharge Of Rubble And Sedimentary Stone. The Events In July 2021 Led To Extensive Damage To The City Archives. A Wide Range Of Archive Holdings Such As Files, Documents, Slides, Glass Plate Negatives, Photographs, Books And Maps As Well As The Database Were Affected. The Aim Of The Service Requested Here Is To Restore The Damaged Archive Material. The Overall Concept Aims To Ensure The State Of Preservation And Restore The Storability Of The Archive Materials As Completely As Possible.
