The City Of Kelowna Is Seeking Qualified Proponents To Deliver A Turnkey Private Wireless Network (Pwn) Solution For Kelowna International Airport (Ylw), With A Project Budget Of $250,000. This Initiative Aims To Establish A Secure, High Availability 4G/5G Standalone (Sa) Wireless Network That Provides Seamless Connectivity Across All Airport Environments, Including Airside, Landside, Terminal, And Remote Facilities. The Successful Proponent Will Be Responsible For The End-To-End Design, Supply, Implementation, And Management Of The Pwn, Ensuring That All Operational, Security, And Performance Requirements Unique To An Airport Environment Are Met. The Work Encompasses Detailed System Engineering And Rf Coverage Planning, Procurement Of Current And Upgradeable Hardware And Software, Comprehensive Installation And Integration With Existing Airport Systems, And Rigorous Testing And Acceptance Processes. Additionally, The Proponent Will Provide Extensive Training And Documentation To Support Airport Staff, As Well As Ongoing Managed Services Including Monitoring, Maintenance, Upgrades, And 24/7 Support. This Project Is Designed To Future-Proof Ylw’S Wireless Infrastructure, Leveraging Both Non-Competitive Local Licensing (Ncll) Spectrum And Supplementary Spectrum As Needed To Deliver Robust, Scalable, And Secure Wireless Services For All Airport Operations.
