The Ministry Of Social Development And Poverty Reduction Provides Assistance, Including Income Assistance, Disability Assistance, Hardship Assistance, Supplements And Employment Programs, For British Columbians In Need Under The Employment And Assistance Act And The Employment And Assistance For Persons With Disabilities Act, Which Came Into Effect In September 2002. The Successful Proponent(S) Will Be Responsible For Providing Security Work Services With Respect To The Public (Including Ministry Clients), Ministry Staff, And Ministry Property By Dealing Efficiently And Effectively With Individuals Who May Pose A Threat Or Present Challenging Behavior That Is Disruptive Or Endangers The Safety Of The Public Or Ministry Staff. The Term Of The Contract Will Be For 1 Year (April 1, 2026, To March 31, 2027). The Contract May Be Renewed Up To 3 Additional 1-Year Terms At The Ministry’S Discretion And Upon Treasury Board Approval Of The Funding. A Request For Proposals (Rfp) Will Be Publicly Posted To Bc Bid And Will Remain Open For Approximately 27 Days. The Successful Contractor Will Be The Qualified Proponent With The Highest Score Evaluated On Approach, Experience, Capabilities, And Price. A General Notice Will Be Sent To Potential Vendors With The Bc Bid Solicitation Number. Services To Be Provided By The Successful Contractor Include But Are Not Limited To: Monitoring Persons In Ministry Office Waiting Room Lines And Will Perform And Be Responsible For Services Including But Not Limited To Establishing And Maintaining The Safety Of , Clients, Other Members Of The Public, Ministry Staff, Ministry Offices And The Province’S Property By Efficiently, Effectively And Proactively Verbally De-Escalating Potentially Violent Situations With Individuals Who May Pose A Threat To The Public Or Ministry Staff In Ministry Offices Or Who May Present Challenging Behavior That Is Disruptive And Endangers The Safety Of The Public Or Ministry Staff.
