Request for proposals for Trainer - Sustainable Development and Impact - Makken2-IL-0002. ABOUT INJAZ LEBANON INJAZ Lebanon is a non-profit organization, an affiliate of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, with a mission to equip youth with the skills and mindset they need to become entrepreneurs and business leaders stimulating their communities. It is also a member of INJAZ Al-Arab, a regional network of 14 countries across the MENA region. INJAZ Lebanon delivers programs in partnership with the business sector, focusing on entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy. ABOUT THE PROJECT Makken2 is a community-driven program developed under the Peaceful Coexistence in Refugees Hosting Communities in Lebanon (PCL) framework. It builds on previous phases implemented under Sanad 1, Sanad 2. The project focuses on strengthening environmental practices, circular economy approaches, and womens empowerment as crosscutting pillars for sustainable development, social cohesion, and community resilience. Rather than starting new initiatives from scratch, MAKKEN 2 enables communities to revisit, enhance, and scale previously proposed or implemented initiatives, improving their long-term sustainability and impact. Through structured engagement with municipalities, working groups, and local facilitators, the program supports community members; particularly youth and women to co-design and implement inclusive initiatives that respond to local needs while making effective use of existing community resources. MAKKEN 2 is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft for Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs and in cooperation with INJAZ Lebanon and the municipalities of Andakit, Bebnine, Dhour El Hawa, Jdeidet El Joumeh, Minyara, and Zgharta. SCOPE Of WORK The selected trainers will be responsible for delivering a 4-day training (total 20 hours) for participants in the assigned municipalities/areas. On Day 1, participants will be introduced to green basics and circularity concepts, followed by a SWOT analysis session. This day includes a total of five hours of training. Day 2 will focus on the ideation of inclusive and sustainable initiatives, also delivered through five hours of guided activities and discussions. On Day 3, the program will continue with solution development and impact planning, providing another five-hour workshop dedicated to shaping practical, meaningful interventions. Finally, Day 4 will cover implementation planning, followed by presentations and an evaluation session, bringing the program to its final five hours of training. Overall, the program consists of four workshops, each lasting five hours, for a total of 20 training hours. Based on the project timeline, availability and accessibility of the Facilitator, may she/he work in more than one municipality. QUALIFICATION A university degree in environmental studies, sustainable development, social sciences, community development, or a related field. Proven experience in delivering trainings or workshops, particularly on sustainability, circular economy, environmental practices, or community development. Strong understanding of green basics, circularity concepts, impact planning, and the development of inclusive and sustainable initiatives. Experience working with community groups, especially youth and women, in participatory and interactive settings. Ability to design and facilitate engaging sessions, group exercises, brainstorming activities, and solution-development processes. Skills in conducting pre- and post-training assessments and evaluating participant progress. Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to simplify complex concepts and encourage active participation. Ability to prepare structured training reports, including session summaries, key observations, challenges, and recommendations. Flexibility and readiness to deliver trainings across different municipalities based on project needs. Technical Proposal (Brief) Since training content will be provided by INJAZ Lebanon, the technical proposal should focus on: The trainers approach to delivering pre-prepared training material. Methods for engaging participants and facilitating interactive sessions. Experience working with similar groups (youth, women, community members). Financial Proposal The rate per training hour, inclusive of all costs (transportation, preparation time, etc.) Total estimated cost based on 20 training hours per municipality/area. Availability Statement Confirming availability to deliver the 4-day training in one or more municipalities during the project timeline.
