ABOUT INJAZ LEBANON INJAZ Lebanon is a non-profit organization, an affiliate of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, with a mission to equip youth with the skills and mindset they need to become entrepreneurs and business leaders stimulating their communities. It is also a member of INJAZ Al-Arab, a regional network of 14 countries across the MENA region. INJAZ Lebanon delivers programs in partnership with the business sector, focusing on entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy. ABOUT MAKKEN 2 Makken 2 is a community-driven program developed under the Peaceful Coexistence in Refugees Hosting Communities in Lebanon (PCL) framework. It builds on previous phases implemented under Sanad 1, Sanad 2. The project focuses on strengthening environmental practices, circular economy approaches, and womens empowerment as crosscutting pillars for sustainable development, social cohesion, and community resilience. Rather than starting new initiatives from scratch, MAKKEN 2 enables communities to revisit, enhance, and scale previously proposed or implemented initiatives, improving their long-term sustainability and impact. Through structured engagement with municipalities, working groups, and local facilitators, the program supports community members; particularly youth and women to co-design and implement inclusive initiatives that respond to local needs while making effective use of existing community resources. MAKKEN 2 is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft for Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs and in cooperation with INJAZ Lebanon and the municipalities of Andakit, Bebnine, Dhour El Hawa, Jdeidet El Joumeh, Minyara, and Zgharta. OVERVIEW NJAZ Lebanon is seeking a qualified trainer to deliver a comprehensive training on facilitation skills and community engagement. The sessions targets community leaders and facilitators, aiming to strengthen their capacity to lead discussions, workshops, and community initiatives effectively. The training emphasizes participatory approaches, inclusivity, and best practices in community engagement, while equipping participants with the practical skills, methodologies, and tools needed to design, plan, and implement initiatives focused on the circular economy and womens empowerment. By the end of the program, participants will be able to guide community initiatives, implement campaigns, and collaboratively develop a six-month local action plan tailored to their municipality, fostering meaningful and sustainable local impact. SCOPE OF WORK The selected trainers will be responsible for delivering a 6-day training (total 30 hours) for participants in the assigned municipalities/areas. 1. Training Design and Preparation - Develop a training agenda and session plan tailored to the participants context and learning needs. - Prepare all training materials, including presentations, handouts, exercises, and practical tools. 2. Training Hours and Delivery - Employ interactive, experiential, and adult-learning methods to maximize engagement and learning outcomes. - Provide participants with practical facilitation tools and techniques for leading discussions, workshops, and community initiatives. 3. Support and Evaluation - Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure knowledge and skills gained. - Offer coaching and feedback to participants during practical exercises and group activities. DELIVERABLES 1.Training agenda and session outline tailored to participants level and project context. 2.Training materials, including presentations, slides, worksheets, and practical exercises. 3.Each Trainer will deliver facilitation skills training: two bootcamps for two different groups, 6 days each, 5 hours per day (total 30 hours per group). 4.Pre- and post-training assessment tools, including a summary of results. 5.Final training report detailing: Overview of delivered sessions. Participant engagement and feedback. Assessment findings. Challenges encountered and recommendations for further development. QUALIFICATIONS -A university degree in social sciences, community development, education, training, or a related field. -Proven experience in delivering trainings or workshops, particularly on facilitation skills, community engagement, participatory approaches, or leadership development. -Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, experiential learning, and interactive facilitation techniques. -Experience working with community leaders, youth, women, or local facilitators in participatory and inclusive settings. -Ability to design and deliver engaging sessions, including practical exercises, role plays, group discussions, and action planning. -Skills in conducting pre- and post-training assessments and evaluating participant learning outcomes. -Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and encourage active participation. -Ability to prepare structured training reports, summarizing session outcomes, participant engagement, challenges, and recommendations. -Flexibility to deliver training across different municipalities and adapt to diverse community contexts. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Applicants must submit the following documents: 1.Updated CV -Highlighting relevant experience in training, facilitation, community engagement, participatory approaches, and working with youth and local communities. 2.Technical Proposal (Brief) -Proposed approach to delivering the 6-day facilitation skills bootcamp. -Methods for engaging participants, facilitating interactive exercises, and coaching participants during practical sessions. -Previous experience with similar trainings or community capacity-building programs. 3.Financial Proposal -The rate per training hour, inclusive of all costs (preparation, materials, transportation, etc.). -Total estimated cost based on 6 days × 5 hours per day × 2 bootcamps (total 60 hours per trainer). 4.Availability Statement -Confirming availability to deliver the two 6-day bootcamps in the assigned municipalities during the project timeline. 5.Supporting Documents (Optional but recommended) -Examples of previous training materials, workshop agendas, or certificates of completion. -At least one professional reference from previous training assignments.
