Tenders are invited for Consultant to Support the Formation of the Womens Syndicate Solidarity Committee within Ogero Syndicate. · 2. Objective of the Assignment The objective of this assignment is to provide technical, facilitation, and drafting support for the establishment and official launching of the Womens Syndicate Solidarity Committee, ensuring that the process is participatory, inclusive, and practically grounded. 3. Scope of Work and Main Tasks The consultant will work closely with the project team and the targeted women syndicate members and will carry out the following tasks: Conceptual Support and Preparation Discuss and propose the concept, objectives, and structure of the preparatory discussion session with targeted women syndicate members. Support the definition of the committees purpose, mandate, and contribution to strengthening solidarity and supporting union demands. Facilitation of the Preparatory Meeting Facilitate one preparatory meeting with targeted women syndicate members to discuss the establishment of the committee, its objectives, and working modalities. Ensure inclusive participation and constructive dialogue. Drafting of Internal Framework Draft a simple internal by-law outlining the committees mandate, structure, roles, and basic decision-making mechanisms. Define the specific roles and responsibilities of committee members clearly and practically. Facilitation of the Validation Meeting Facilitate one meeting dedicated to the validation of the prepared internal by-law. Support discussion, validation, and endorsement of the drafted internal by-law and roles. Reporting Prepare and submit a brief final report documenting the process, meetings held, agreed structure, and key outcomes of the initiative. 4. Deliverables Concept note and agenda for the preparatory meeting Facilitated preparatory meeting and summary notes Draft internal by-law and define roles of the committee Facilitated committee launching meeting Final short narrative report 5. Duration and Timeline The duration of the assignment is approximately two (2) weeks, starting from early February until mid-February. Within this period, the consultant is expected to complete the assignment through an estimated 6 to 8 actual working days, distributed across preparation, facilitation of meetings, drafting of documents, validation, and reporting. The two-week duration allows for coordination, scheduling of meetings, consultations, and validation of outputs. The financial proposal should reflect the actual number of working days required, rather than the full calendar duration of the assignment. 6. Financial Proposal Interested consultants are requested to submit a financial proposal indicating: The total lump-sum cost for completing the assignment A brief cost breakdown, including consultant fees (based on 68 working days) and meeting-related costs 7. Required Profile Experience working with trade unions, syndicates, or womens groups Proven facilitation skills, particularly in participatory and dialogue-based settings Experience in gender equality, womens participation, or collective organizing initiatives Ability to draft simple internal regulations or governance documents Familiarity with the local syndicate and civil society context 8. Reporting and Coordination The consultant will work under the supervision of the project lead and coordinate closely with the targeted women syndicate members throughout the assignment.
