Engineering Design Services For Mechanical And Electrical Installations For Buildings – Fachplanung Technische Ausruestung_M. Measure Number: B14h C154990003 Description Of The Measure: Ludwig Maximilian University Of Munich Institute Campus Großhadern But1-13, Renovation Of The Refrigeration Technology - Renewal Of The Recooling Plants Award Number: 25-113923 This Construction Project Is A Conversion Of The Existing Lmu Campus Großhadern In Munich, In The Area Between Marchioninistraße, Butenandstraße And Würmtalstraße. The Focus Is On Renewing And Optimizing The Cooling Supply To The Property. Existing Situation: There Are Three Cooling Towers On The Roof Of House D For Cooling The Entire Campus. In The First Basement Of Component D Is The Cooling Center With Two 2 Mw Turbo Compressors (Make Trane, Built In 1997/98) And One 800 Kw Turbo Compressor (Make Engie, Built In 2013). The Cold Is Distributed Via An Accessible Supply Tunnel In The Basement U2. The Summer Cooling Load Is Currently Estimated At Around 4 Mw. Task: It Is Necessary To Analyze The Current Consumption Structure And Create A Forecast For The Future Development Of Cooling Consumption. In Addition, Optimization Of The Refrigeration System And Hydraulic Balancing Are Necessary. The Existing Cooling Towers Have Reached The End Of Their Calculated Useful Life And Should Be Replaced. Economic Aspects, Life Cycle Considerations, The Available Installation Space, Synergies With Existing Refrigeration Machines And Other Trades As Well As Compliance With Relevant Guidelines Must Be Taken Into Account. Sustainability Concept: As Part Of The Renovation, A Sustainable Overall Concept Will Be Developed That Implements The Latest Technology, Adheres To Current Hygiene Regulations, Improves The Efficiency Of The Cooling Supply And Meets The Challenges Of Global Warming. At The Same Time, The Use Of Groundwater As A Renewable Energy Source Is Being Examined. A Feasibility Study Shows A Potential Of Around 250 Kw Cooling Output In Summer And 450 Kw Heating Output In Winter. The Aim Is To Clarify Whether The Wells Are Eligible For Approval, To Determine The Water Requirement For Geothermal Cooling And To Evaluate The Economic Viability Of Groundwater Use. Measure Structure: The Execution Of The Renewal Of The Recooling Plants Is Divided Into Three Lots: Lot 1: New Recoolers On The Roof Of Component D Lot 2: Recooling Via The Exhaust Air Lot 3: Renewal Of The Existing Recooling Plants On The Roof Of Component D All Three Lots Are Planned At The Same Time In Performance Level 1. From Performance Level 2 Onwards, Development And Implementation Take Place One After The Other. The Replacement Of The Refrigeration Machines Is Planned For A Later Date, But Is Planned As A Special Service Until Service Phase 2. The Compatibility Of The New Recooling Plants With The Existing Refrigeration Machines Must Be Guaranteed. Funding Options: Possible Funding Is Being Examined And Used For The Measure, For Example From The Federal Office
