Tenders are invited for Tools, Equipment and Consumables for Competency-Based Trainings in Food Production G-011147-002 Quave. Context The Multi-Donor Action Improving the Quality and Attractiveness of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Lebanon for vulnerable social groups is jointly co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The joint action is implemented by GIZ as a specific Action within the wider BMZ project Improving the Quality and Attractiveness of TVET in Lebanon (QuA-VET). The aim of the action is to orient the vocational training towards the qualification needs of the labour market in sectors with sustainable employment potentials, therefore improving the employment capacities for poor and vulnerable social groups living in Lebanon. The implementing partner, the Directorate General for Vocational and Technical Education (DGVTE), requires further support in involving the private sector in vocational education and training. Thus, the projects emphasis is placed on improving the partnership between vocational training institutions and the private sector. This includes developing modularized and practice-oriented training programmes in selected sectors, digitalizing e-Learning Lessons for the technical theoretical subjects of the promoted TVET programs and General Subjects and enhancing the quality of in-company training for employees and work-based learning for vulnerable individuals. The target groups of the project are vulnerable youth and young adults (aged 15-35), including Syrian and Palestinian refugees, individuals from hosting communities, TVET Lebanese students, unemployed or underemployed individuals (aged 17 to 35), and employees in Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) seeking to improve their employment prospects through relevant qualifications. This request for public tender is intended to identify a supplier who can provide and deliver to the specified delivery locations, the following described Tools, equipment and consumables within the recommended delivery date. Prior to all goods delivery, the supplier is required to split the goods in 8 different batches, i. e. each item is to be divided by 8 and delivered in one of the 8 designated schools. (For example: item (96) French Press 600 ml, the total quantity is 24, with 3 to be delivered to each of the 8 schools). QuA-VET team will inspect, approve, and advise in case of needed modifications. Delivery will be done to the schools premises in the presence of a project member and of the school staff. Depending on the situations of the schools, delivery time may be subject to modification, the supplier will be notified at least 3 days before the day of delivery. In some cases, the delivery might change to a different school depending on the availability of the school staff. Technical requirements The contractor is responsible for the provision, and delivery of the equipment and machines listed in the table below, having the technical characteristics of the items and the quantity to be delivered in accordance with the mentioned specifications. Please make it clear in your bid for which lot you are submitting your bid. A separate technical offer and price offer stating the lot must be submitted for each lot. A bidder can win/be awarded one or more lots. If one lot is not awarded, the other lot may still be awarded. Each bidder must, however, ensure that all specified materials and equipment within a given lot are fully addressed in their technical offer. Partial submissions for individual items within a lot will not be considered.
