Cnational Tourist Routes Are 18 Selected Stretches Of Road That Go Through Landscapes With Unique Natural Qualities, Along The Coast And Fjords, Mountains Or Waterfalls. The Stretches Should Be A Good Alternative To The Main Roads And The Drive Itself Should Be A Good Experience. Through The Development Of National Tourist Routes, The Norwegian Public Roads Administration Takes On The Main Responsibility For Facilities And Well-Arranged And Attractive Stopping Points, From Small Stopping Points That Offer A View And Easy Rest To Large Main Rest Stops And Attraction Points With Buildings, Installations And Equipment Of Various Types. The Sections Will Be Marked With The Symbol For The National Tourist Route, A Separate Visual Profile, Separate Road Signs And A Common Information System, Including Boards (Primarily Outdoors) At Selected Stopping Points And Posters (Primarily Indoors) At Appropriate Locations Otherwise To Provide Information.
