The Eselriet School Complex Is Located On The South-Western Edge Of The Settlement Of Effretikon, At The Transition To The Surrounding Landscape With Adjacent Forested Slopes And Agricultural Areas. The Building Ensemble Dating From 1974 Features A Consistent Architectural Language Typical Of Its Time. Oriented Diagonally To The South, The Complex Integrates Clearly Into The Natural Surroundings Through Its Precise Building Footprint. Functionally Differentiated Building Wings Are Arranged Around A Central Playground, Forming A Coherent Overall Structure. The Construction Project Provides For The Structural Extension Of The School Complex With A Compact New Building Directly Attached To The Existing Sports Hall. The Existing Building And The Extension Are Combined To Form A Coherent Overall Facility. From Sportplatzstrasse, A Wide And Clearly Arranged Access Area Is Created. The New Building Accommodates The Extensive Spatial Program, Including Facilities For School Use, Daytime Childcare, And Sports Clubs, All Under One Roof. The Access And Vertical Circulation Concept Allows Both Shared Use And Independent Operation Of The Different User Groups. Two Building Entrances Open Up The Structure And Clearly Separate The Various Functions. A Main Staircase With Lift Provides Access To All Floors And Connects The Different Parts Of The Building. The Second And Third Upper Floors Follow A Uniform Floor Plan Concept. On The Second Floor, Four Classrooms With Adjoining Group Rooms Form A Learning Cluster Around A Central Common And Cloakroom Area. The Third Floor Accommodates Therapy And Speech Therapy Rooms As Well As The Facilities Of The Support Centre. The Basement Level Houses The Multipurpose Room With Direct Access To The Sports Hall. A Staircase And Lift Connect This Area With The Kitchen And The Common Areas On The Ground Floor.
