Tender For Repairs / Replacement Of Existing Earthing, Lightening Arrester And Associated Misc Work At Af Stn Suryalanka; 1 Taking down carefully existing Copper strip of various size fixed in position as lightening conductor from roof/wall and buried in ground including making good the disturbed surfaces etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. 2 Taking down air termination rod of 12 mm dia 300mm long of any descreption by descrewing the nut bolts for existing AL/Copper strip from roof of building height of 18mtr and all as specified and directed. 3 Labor for re-fixing in repirs the air termination rod retrieved from Item No.4 above with nut bolts and screwing in vertical position on roof of buliding/shelter/tower with Al/Copper strip of any size and all as specified and directed. 4 Supply and Fixingair termination rod single pointed aluminium rod 12mm dia and 300mm long fixed proper on GI pipe/PCC by drilling, nut bolt etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. 5 Supply and Fixing in repair copper strip of size 32 x 6mm buried not less than 60cm deep into ground, fixed to wall with saddles including necessary nutbolts, screw, rivets, PVC blocks, porcelain insulator all fittings and joining materials connected and testing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 6 Labor for Refixing ofaluminium strip in position with new insulators screwing in every 1 mtr length of strip at any height after proper cleaning, obtained from Item No .1Note :- All T&P required for fixing of old strip will be arranged by contractor and the rate are deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 7 Labor for Refixing ofCopper strip in position with new insulators bracing/screwing in every 1mtr length of strip at any height after proper cleaning, obtained from Item No .1Note :- All T&P required for fixing of old strip will be arranged by contractor and the rate are deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 8 Labor for Refixing ofGI strip in position with burried the strip of depth not less than 60cm where directed and fixing on wall/plinth with necessary arrangements at any height after proper cleaning, obtained from Item No .1Note :- All T&P required for fixing of old strip will be arranged by contractor and the rate are deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 9 S&F in repair GI pipe medium grade40mm dia bore fix to wall/ PCC block etc with suitable clamp complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 10 M&L Chemical earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode of size 90cmX60cmX5mm buried directly in ground, earth pit not less than 2.25mtr dept below ground level and 1.25 mtr widthwith top edge of the plate not less than 1.35 mtr below ground level, Charcoal of 250Kg, Salt Crystal of 200kg and Magnesium Sulphate Crystal of 100kg to be used in pit, alternate layers of charcoal and salt should be laid in the earth pit on top of copper plate and electrode connected with copper strip of size 50mX6 mm by means of copper brazing , GI pipe light grade of 80 mm bore as protection pipe, copper strip of length not more than 7.5 mtr and connected to test point. GI pipe 25mm dia medium grade of enough length to reach just above copper plate fitted with funnel with wire mesh, along with cap and running water tap to be provided for keeping the soil wet, PCC pit withPCC (1:3:6)pre cast chamber of internal size 40X12X30 cm andPCC cover of size 42X42x4cm with PCC (1:3:6)including excavation and earth work disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr as shown on electrical plate No 3 of SSR-2009 complete all as specified and confirming to IS 3034-1987 : Code of practice for eartthingall as specified and as directed. The following precautions to be observed while errecting the earth pits :-(i)The copper plate and the copper strip to be brazed.(ii) Alternate layers of charcoal and salt should be laid in the earth pit on top of the copper plate. At least five layers to be laid.(iii) After laying of five alternate layers of charcoal and salt, a 2 in ch layer of magnesium sulphate needs to be laid.Balance volume of to be filled with soft soil.(iv) The chemical, salt and magnesium sulphate should never be mixed but are to be laid in layers only.(v) Ceramic spacer to be placed between the copper strip and the wall while extending the earth to the equipment. Large holes not to be drilled into the copper strip for fixing ceramic spacers. 11 Supply and fixing in replacement test point terminal box made of gun metal or phosphorus broze of size 75X75X25mm drilled and screwed including 03 Nos, 8mm dia 25mm long hex head screw including test point enclosed in fibberbox of size 125x125x50mm fixed on wall as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 12 Material and labour for plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate for proper fixing of GI pipe 50mm dia on top of roof including necessary form work finished even and smooth without using extra cement all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. 13 M&L for MS sheet of size 30 x 20cm & thickness of 2mm shape of triangle and if triangle each side will be 30 cm from corner to corner including 25x3mm MS angle orin by welding 10cm "T" AI in bottom of stand (90 cm long) to grouting with PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 (Using 20 mm graded stone aggregates) of size 150x150x150mm below ground level, framed work , earthworks, etc including two coats of synthetic enemal paint over a coat of red oxide primer and marking of TESTED ON -------, RESULT -------------with different colour of synthetic emenal paint with suitable size of letters and allarrangements complete all as specifed and directed . 14 M&L for brazing/welding in repair ofearthing electrode complete all as specified and directed. 15 Supply & laying in repairs including testing and commissioning GI tubing medium grade size 20 mm in fixed to wall/ceiling including required GI fitting complete all as specified and directed. 16 M&L for earthing pit of PCC (1:3:6:) type C-1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) size 550x550x300 with base 40mm of PCC including wiremesh funnel , 25x25x3mm AI Frame of embedded at top for Pit cover of size 30x30Cmand disposal of old broken pitincluding all necessary earth work complete all as specified an directed. 17 Disconnecting of GI earthing strips/earth wire leads of any size, any description and in any position from test point carefully and testing the earth resistance of any type of lightening conductor earthing with the help of earth tester of suitable capacity and recording Ohm value in the register as per proforma approved by Engineer-in-Charge including cleaning vegetation/wild growth sorrounding of 2 Mtr from the earth pit and removing dust/deposited soil from earth pit complete all as specified and directed.Note :(i)The contractor will arrange Earth Tester of all T&P & accessories for recording the reading. 18 Excavation of pit upto 1 mt depth & pouring salt 25 Kg, Charcoal 25 Kg & magnisium sulphate 25 Kg including retruning filling as directed. 19 M& L for checking and balancing of electric load on each DB/panel/busbar and by disconnecting and check E-N and E-Rin permissibe limit and proper reconnecting including disconnection of circuit and reconnection after balancing of load complete all as specified and directed.Note:-01 x Electrician and 01 x helper will be detailed by the contractor for attending above complaints.Cost for which shall be deemed to be included in quoted rates.If contractor fails to detail above tradesmen, a panel recovery @ Rs 500.00 per day shall be made to the contractor and the shall be recovered from RAR/final bill.
