We Are Seeking A Contractor To Develop A Study That Will Provide A Techno-Economic Analysis Of The Distributed Energy Resources (Der) Potential In British Columbia Across All Provincial Customer Types Of Public Energy Utilities In All Sectors. This Work Will Estimate The Electrical Energy And Capacity Benefits Of Der Technologies And Management Practices, Including Some Derived From Non-Electric Energies That Provide Benefits To The Electric System.This Study Will Estimate The Province-Wide Achievable, Enhanced And Technical Potential Of Der. Informed By A Jurisdictional Policy Scan, The Latter Will Reflect Conditions Where There Are Changes In The Market That Enhance Der Investment Through Supportive Policy Levers. The Study Will Include Financial Benefits And Costs Of Der From Consumer And Utility Perspectives, Along With Associated Greenhouse Gas Emissions Implications, When Applicable.The Province Has Ensembled An Advisory Committee For This Study, Which Will Be Able To Review Produced Material, And May Draw On Additional Study Partners For Additional Insights Or Information. The Contractor Will Be Required To Sign Information Sharing Agreements With Utilities And Other Study Partners. The Study Must Be Completed By March 31, 2027, Considering A Maximum Budget Of $400,000, Exclusive Of Taxes.
