Breffni Integrated Clg T/A Cavan County Local Development (Ccld) On Behalf Of Cavan Local Action Group (Lag) Wishes To Appoint A Trainer/Facilitator To Deliver 3 Community Prevention And Management Of Invasive Species Training Programmes In County Cavan. Ccld Are Inviting Written Tenders From Competent Individuals, Companies Or Consortia With Expertise In Invasive Species, Ecology And Associated Areas To Provide Bespoke Training To Communities Across County Cavan. Full Responsibility For The Organising Of The Training Events Will Rest With The Trainer / Facilitator. This Proposal Is For The Delivery Of 3 Separate Programmes In 3 Different Locations In County Cavan With A Series Of Classroom Sessions (April/May 26) And Then Would Include A Series Of Hands On Workshops At Three Different Demonstration Sites (May And/Or Sept/Oct 26). Training Should Aim To Be Concluded Before End Of May 2027 (At Latest). Aim Of The Project: The Programme Aims To Increase Awareness Of Invasive Species Through A Focused Series Of Community Engagement Workshops. The Training Will Enable Participants To Apply Learning Within Their Communities To Reduce The Threat Of Invasive Species On Our Native Wildlife And Ecosystems. At The End Of The Training, The Participants Will Have Knowledge And Practical Skills In Respect Of The Best Practices In Preventing, Identifying, Response, Control And Reducing Establishment, Spread And Impact Of Invasive Species. This Hands-On Training Will Encourage Active Participation Of The Community In Local Environmental Initiatives And Will Impart Knowledge/Skills Which Will Be Invaluable For Other Environmental Projects.
