Construction Work – Improving The Geometry Of Tornios Sea Channel And Port, Ku. The Contract Is A Total Price Total Contract (Ku). Väylävirasto And Outokumpu Stainless Oy Are Jointly Implementing The Project To Improve The Geometry Of Tornios Sea Channel And Port. The Contract Includes Improving The Geometry Of Tornios 9-Meter Sea Channel By Widening The Curves And Narrow Parts Of The Channel And Expanding The Harbor Basin. The Total Length Of The Canal Is 25 Km, Of Which 23.8 Km Is Under The Control Of The Norwegian Railway Agency And 1.2 Km In The Port Area Managed By Outokumpu Stainless Oy. The Contract Includes Dredging And Filling Works, As Well As Changes To The Safety Devices Related To The Fairway Markings. The Dredging Mass Is Deposited In The Dumping Basin Near The Port.
