The Ministry Of Public And Business Services Delivery And Procurement (Mpbsdp) Wishes To Notify The Vendor Community Of A Possible Upcoming Request For Bids (Rfb) For The Delivery Of Vmware Software Continuity And Maintenance Support Services To Secure Provisions For Vmware Software Maintenance, Support Services, And Related Products And Services Necessary For Operational Continuity Which Includes But Is Not Limited To: • Vmware Cloud Foundations Software Subscriptions, Renewals, And Licensing; • Vmware Avi Load Balancer • Vmware Vdefend Firewall • Technical Support And Security Updates • Technical Account Management Services; And • Training And Knowledge Transfer These Products And Services Are Expected To Be Provided For A Term Of Up To Three (3) Years A Request For Bids (Rfb) Is Anticipated To Be Issued In March Of 2026, Via The Ontario Tenders Portal (Otp) This Notice, Including Any Timetables, Is For Information Purposes Only, Does Not Constitute A Solicitation And Shall Not Give Rise To Any Legal Rights Or Duties. The Rfb May Differ From The Information Contained In This Pre-Release Notice. The Ministry Reserves The Right To Cancel Or Modify This Planned Procurement At Its Sole Discretion. If Mpbsdp Proceeds With The Procurement, Mpbsdp Will Post The Rfb On Otp, Which Is An Electronic Tendering System That Is Open To All Bidders. This Notice Should Not Be Construed As A Rfb Or As Creating Any Legal Obligation To Issue A Rfb Or To Undertake Any Other Procurement Process. No Response Is Required. The Target Date For Issuance Of An Rfb Is Estimated To Be In March 2026. Mpbsdp Reserves The Right To Not Proceed With The Procurement Mentioned In This Notice, Without Any Responsibility, Liability Or Obligation To Any Interested Parties. Neither Mpbsdp Nor The Government Of Ontario Will Be Responsible For Any Costs Incurred By Any Person Or Organization As A Result Of This Communication. Scope Of Work The Objective Of This Vmware Operational Continuity Software Maintenance And Support Services Rfb Is To Provide The Ontario Public Service (Ops) The Ability To Purchase Additional Software Licenses To Maintain Compliance With Licensing Terms And Conditions, As Well As Acquire Annual Maintenance And Support That Is Needed To Ensure Applications Run Free From Any Defects Or Security Flaws. The Vmware Operational Continuity Software Maintenance And Support Services Rfb Is Intended To Establish An Agreement With A Single Vendor That Will: • Be Capable Of Providing A Wide Range Of Vmware Software Products And Maintenance And Support; And • Improving The Visibility And Intelligence Around Software Agreements Across The Ontario Government, Enabling Strategic Management Of Licenses And Related Services.
