Portfolio Management Services – Suomussalmi Municipalitys Financial Management Tender. The Initial Capital Of The Assets Included In The Investment Activities Of The Municipality Of Suomussalmi Was Obtained From The Sale Of The Shares Of Kainuun Sähkö Oy In 2002. Since Then, The Investment Assets Have Developed As A Result Of The Income From The Investment Activities. The Amount Of Funds Changes Depending On How Much Annual Revenue Funding Is Sufficient To Finance Operating Expenses And Investments. Approximately €15.5 Million Of The Municipalitys Liquid Assets As Of December 31, 2025 Are Estimated To Be Investable For The Long Term, And For This Amount Of Assets, Two (2) Asset Managers Are Sought Through A Tender To Manage A Securities Portfolio Of Approximately €6.5 Million Each, Including Interest And Equity Investments. The Chosen Service Provider Does Not Have The Exclusive Right To Produce The Services That Are The Subject Of Procurement. At A Later Stage, The Municipality Reserves The Right To Increase Or Decrease The Investable Assets Of The Fund Managers. The Municipality Of Suomussalmi Requests Offers For The Procurement Of A Framework Contract For The Financial Management Of A Full Power Of Attorney. In The Procurement Procedure, An Open Procurement Procedure Is Applied. It Is An Eu-Wide Competition. The Procurement Will Be Implemented As A Framework Arrangement, Which Will Be Carried Out For A Period Of Approximately Four (4) Years. Suomussalmi Municipalitys Financial Management Is Tendered For One Council Term At A Time. The Municipal Government Can Decide To Extend Or Shorten The Financial Management Contract Periods. In The Procurement Procedure, Bids Are Requested In Accordance With The Records And Possible Limits Contained In The Suomussalmi Municipalitys Fundamentals Of Asset Management And Investment Activities And Investment Plan Documents (Appendices 2 And 3 Of The Request For Tenders). The Goal Of The Municipality Of Suomussalmi Is To Ensure High-Quality, Responsible And Competitive Asset Management In Accordance With The Investment Plan Of The Capital Entrusted To The Asset Management. In The Municipalitys Investment Activities, It Is Increasingly Important To Consider Responsibility Issues Throughout The Entire Investment Process. The Investment Plan Provides More Detailed Information About Responsible And Sustainable Investing. The Agreement Enters Into Force On May 1, 2026 Or, If Agreed Earlier, After The Acquisition Decision Has Become Legally Binding.
