Funeral And Related Services – South Slavic Mausoleum - Iii. Stage, 2Nd Substage. The Subject Of The Public Contract South Slavic Mausoleum - Iii. Etapa, 2. Sub-Stage Are Services Connected With The Documentation, Placement, Treatment And Return Of Human Remains And Wooden Coffins. In The Crypt Of The Mausoleum Building, The Remains Of Soldiers From The Lands Of The Former Kingdom Of Serbs, Croats And Slovenes (Later Yugoslavia) Who Died In Military Hospitals During The First World War Are Stored In Wooden Coffins. In Addition, The Remains Of Several Deceased Prisoners Are Stored In The Crypt. The Exhumed Remains Were Brought To The Mausoleum From Various Places In Moravia And Silesia And Reverently Deposited In 1928. A Total Of 1,224 Remains Of Soldiers Are Kept In The Building. Before Starting The Actual Treatment, The Coffins With The Remains Will Be Documented According To A Pre-Set System For Marking The Remains And Coffins, So That There Is No Mixing Or Confusion Of The Remains. It Is Also Necessary To Carefully Record The Location Of Individual Coffins In Order To Place Them Back. The Empty Places In The Shelves Cannot, Without Closer Examination, In Some Cases Be Safely Identified As Originally Empty Places Or As Places Where Coffins Were Originally Stored. Remains Placed In Non-Tamperable Caskets Will Be Placed In Sturdy Paper Boxes – Not Bags Where They Could Be Damaged. The Contractor Acknowledges That The Stored Materials Are Infected And Degraded Mainly By Fungi And Putrefactive Processes. The Disease Germs That Were The Cause Of The Death Of Some Soldiers (The Cause Of Death Of The Buried Soldiers Is In The Vast Majority Succumbing To Injuries, But Infectious Diseases - Tuberculosis, Typhoid, Cholera, Malaria - Are Also The Cause Of Death To A Certain Extent), Are Probably No Longer Alive Today. With This In Mind, Adequate Protective Work Equipment Will Be Used When Working In The Crypt Area And When Handling Remains And Coffins (Protective Suit, Shoes Or Covers, Minimum Ffp3 Class Respirator, Safety Glasses, Gloves...). These Protective Work Equipment Will Be Changed After Use According To Wear And Tear In Order To Maintain Their Protective Function. When Carrying Out Work, The Contractor Is Obliged To Proceed In Accordance With Act No. 256/2001 Coll., The Funeral Act And Its Amendments - Act No. 193/2017 Coll., And Further In Accordance With Act No. 89/2012 Coll. § 92, Paragraph 1. Solid Paper Boxes Will Be Used For Transporting The Remains, Not Bags In Which The Remains Can Be Damaged (1 Box For 1 Skeleton)! The Numbering On The New Coffins Will Be Slightly Different From The Original Design. So That It Is Possible To Distinguish Which Coffins Are Original And Which Are New. For The Treatment And Drying Of Remains And Coffins, It Is Necessary To Consider Premises With A Minimum Area Of 300 M2, Relevantly Tempered And Ventilated, Divided At Least Into The Primary Storage Of Remains And Coffins, Premises Intended For The Treatment And Drying Of Remains, Premises Intended For The Treatment And Drying Of Coffins And Storage Of Treated And Dried Coffins And Remains.
