The Project Intervention Area Covers An Area Of 26,653.00 M2 In The Iosefin Quarter, Close To The Central Area And Connected By The Decebal Bridge, Namely: Boulevard 16 Decembrie 1989 - The Section Between Splaiul Tudor Vladimirescu (Partially) And Piața Mocioni, Piața Sfânta Maria, Piața Mocioni And The Entrances On The Adjacent Streets - Gheorghe Doja (Partially), Miron Costin (Partial), Timotei Cipariu (Partial), Nedelcu Zugrav (Partial), Motilor (Partial), Ady Endre (Partial), Emanoil Gojdu (Partial), Laurian August Treboniu (Partial), Ion Eliade Rădulescu (Partial). Following The Analysis Of The Existing Situation During Field Visits, The Realization Of Substantiation Studies, Specialized Technical Expertise And Public Debates, A Series Of Dysfunctions Specific To The Arrangement Of Public Space Resulted In The Following Criteria: • Accessibility And Safety • Resistance And Stability • Attractiveness • Occupation Of The Street Profile • Microclimate And Environment • Endowment And Physical Condition Of The Urban Space. The Main Dysfunctions In The Intervention Area: • The Disproportion Of Space Allocation In Favor Of Private Car Traffic (Active Or Stationary). • Lack Of Dedicated Routes For Cyclists • Reduced Accessibility For People With Disabilities • Lack Of Properly Sized Parking Spaces For People With Disabilities • Undersized Sidewalks Considering The Intense Pedestrian Traffic • Degraded Walking Surfaces • Large Asphalted / Sealed Surfaces • Almost Non-Existent Urban Furniture On Some Streets • Lack Of Trees On Most Streets In The Intervention Area • Green Surfaces Adjacent To Sidewalks Are Not Maintained • Low Level Of Public Lighting, Overhead Cables, Degraded Lighting Poles • Road Structures In An Advanced State Of Degradation • Outdated Building Networks, In Some Non-Functional Situations • Electrical And Weak Current Networks In An Advanced State Of Degradation
