Battle Simulators – Mobile Research Facility (Without Roof) For Carrying Out Drone Flight Tests (Drone Cage). In Accordance With The Service Description, The Subject Of The Order Is The Delivery, Construction And Commissioning Of A Drone Cage On Site, Including Training Of The Clients Employees, As Well As The Provision Of Specialist Personnel For Dismantling And Reconstruction Processes Within A Service Period Of Three Years Within Two Months Of A Request To This Effect From The Client And Maintenance To Maintain Operational Readiness. As Part Of The Missionlab Research Project, Unibw M Is Expanding Its Research Facilities To Include A Multi-Uav Flight Test Vehicle. In Addition To Several Fully Autonomous Unmanned Aircraft, This Also Includes A Safe Operating Environment In Which Uncooperative And Fully Autonomous Missions Can Be Tested Realistically With Real Flight Tests. For The Planned Hardware-In-The-Loop Validation In Summer 2026, A Correspondingly Large, Mobile Drone Cage With A Mesh-Like Net And Modular Design Is Required To Exclude Potential Risks Of Personal Injury And Property Damage. The Rectangular Drone Cage, Measuring 35 To 40 Meters In Length And 18 To 20 Meters In Width And Height, Will Consist Of Modular Trusses Made Of Weather-Resistant Material, Will Have No Floor Of Its Own And Will Be Surrounded By A Drone Network. The Trusses Are Placed On Base Plates And Are Not Firmly Connected To The Ground. The Mesh On The Five Sides Of The Cage Will Be Able To Withstand The Impact Of Drones Weighing Up To 25 Kilograms At A Flight Speed Of Up To 10 Meters Per Second. The Drone Cage Is Equipped With A Lowering Function, Which Makes It Possible To Lower At Least The Roof Of The Drone Cage Electronically (As Far As Possible) At Any Time (E.G. After Every Flight Attempt). The Drone Cage Will Be Designed In Such A Way That It Can Be Completely Dismantled And Relocated, Including Reassembly To Other Locations, Within Eight Working Days. Over The Service Period Of Three Years, The Contractor Undertakes To Begin Dismantling And Reconstruction Work Within Two Months Of A Request To This Effect From The Client. No Permanent Supply Connections Such As Water Or Electricity Are Required To Operate, Assemble And Dismantle The Drone Cage. The Electric Lowering Function Can Be Operated Via A Generator. The Contractor Must Deliver The Drone Cage, Set It Up, Put It Into Operation, Train The Clients Staff And Invoice The Services By June 30, 2026 At The Latest.
